Sideports

A Carpathian spruce / Pau rosa D-5 in construction:



A German spruce / Macassar ebony D-3 in construction:



And both in different varnishing stages. Binding on the D-5 is Angélique, the D-3 has bloodwood:



And I included this shot because I rarely have as many instruments in process in the shop. From left to right: Carpathian / Pau-rosa D-5, German / Macassar ebony D-3, red spruce / sapele A-3 and a German spruce / Honduran Mahogany concert uke.

Super clean work Laurent. Can you comment on your capped back braces? Is this for cosmetic purposes, or to stiffen them?

Hi Peter, yes the hardwood caps stiffen the braces.
